The Imperative Foundation is a nonprofit and dependent on donations from people who believe in and support our mission. A donation of any amount, allows us to make a step forward, be it small or large.
The reform of U.S. health care is greatly dependent on you, the individual citizen who cares about health care for their family and community. We ask that you donate.
We also ask that you inform your family and friends about the Imperative Foundation and our website.
Matching Donations From Your Employer
Many companies will match donations made by their employees. If your employer does, it will double your donation.
It is estimated that more $4 billion of employer matching funds are not utilized every year, because employees are not aware of their employer’s matching program.
Your employer is likely to have interest in the mission of the Imperative Foundation to reform and reduce the costs of U.S. health care.
Please inform your employer of the Imperative Foundation’s website and ask about a matching donation program.
Are Donations Tax Deductable
90% of taxpayers will not receive a tax reduction for any charitable donation, even if they list the donations on their tax forms.
90% of U.S. taxpayers take the “standard deduction” when they file their taxes (link). They do so because their tax deductible expenses and donations are smaller than the standard deduction.
The 10% of taxpayers who “itemize” their tax deductible expenses and donations, do so because their total deductions are greater than the standard deduction.
Corporations and other entities that donate will generally acquire tax deductions from their charitable donations to organizations that have acquired 501(c)(3) status with the IRS.
The Imperative Foundation filed for 501(c)(3) status in March of 2024. Once it has been received, individuals who itemized their tax filings, corporations, and other entities will be able to deduct their past and future donations to the Imperative Foundation.
