The Realities
In our "U.S. Health Care In Crisis" video we explain:
- On a per person basis, the U.S. has paid more than twice the amount for health care than our peer nations, resulting in a $40 trillion overpayment in just 25 years — 1999 to 2024.
- Many of our working citizens and families are part of the 46 million who are underinsured — their health care insurance will not cover major health care expenditures.
- A vast majority of employers say they cannot continue to pay for medical insurance for their employees.
- Social Security and Medicare become underfunded in 2033, paying only a percentage of their promised benefits.
- Generations X, Y, Z, and Alpha are paying for Medicare and Social Security benefits they will not receive, and inheriting $175 trillion in unfunded Medicare and Social Security obligations.
It Will Not Get Better — Only Worse
- If we as a people and nation do nothing, it will only get worse.
- Congress has not enacted meaningful health care reform in fifty years.
- The health care industry spends $750 million annually on lobbying and campaign donations — employing six lobbyists for every member of Congress.
- Who lobbies for you, your family, and us?
- Only a National Alliance of citizens, employers, and communities has the social and political presence to compel Congress to do what Congress cannot and will not do on its own — reform our health care system and implement universal health care.
Doing Nothing Is Not An Option
If you, your family, and our nation want change — doing nothing does nothing.
